Vidisic Gel – Lubricating Artificial Tears Gel

Vidisic Gel is a lubricating artificial tear formulated as a clear ocular gel. It contains Carbomer 980 as the active ingredient and is manufactured by leading healthcare company Bausch + Lomb. It is designed to relieve moderate to severe dry eye symptoms and reduce eye irritation, burning, and discomfort caused by insufficient tear production.

The gel has excellent adhesion properties, allowing it to remain on and coat the surface of the cornea for approximately 2–4 hours, providing longer-lasting moisture compared with conventional liquid artificial tears.

• Can Be Used Alongside Other Treatments: May be used to relieve dry eye symptoms following eye surgery, such as LASIK or cataract surgery, or together with other eye drops that may cause dry eyes.

How to Apply the Gel to Your Pet’s Eyes

• Wash your hands thoroughly: Gently clean away any dried eye discharge from your pet’s eyes using a clean cloth moistened with clean water.
  
• Position the head properly: Use one hand to support your dog’s or cat’s chin or head and gently tilt the head slightly upward.
  
• Open the lower eyelid: With the thumb of your other hand, gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket in the conjunctival sac.
  
• Apply the gel: Squeeze approximately 0.5–1 cm of gel into the lower eyelid pocket.
  
• Do not let the tube tip touch the eye: Avoid allowing the tip of the tube to come into contact with the eyeball, eyelashes, fur, or other surfaces to help prevent contamination and infection.
  
• Allow your pet to blink: Your pet’s natural body temperature will help soften and spread the gel across the surface of the eye as they blink.

• Allow sufficient time between medications: If using Vidisic Gel together with antibiotic eye drops, apply the antibiotic eye drops first and wait 5–10 minutes before applying Vidisic Gel. Vidisic Gel should be applied last.
• Do not use if the cornea is perforated: If your pet has a deep or severe eye wound or a perforated cornea, consult a veterinarian before use
• Use within 6 weeks after opening: Once the tube has been opened, it should be used within 6 weeks (approximately 1.5 months). If any product remains after this period, discard it and replace it with a new tube for safety.
