Atopica 10 mg is an immunosuppressive and immunomodulatory soft capsule, the smallest strength, for very small dogs or puppies. It contains the active ingredient Cyclosporine and is used to treat and control chronic allergic skin inflammation (Atopic Dermatitis). This 10 mg formulation is specifically designed for dogs weighing 2–2.9 kilograms.

Recommendations and Precautions for Use

• Administer on an empty stomach: The medication should be given on an empty stomach to allow the body to absorb it as effectively as possible. Give 1 hour before feeding or at least 2 hours after feeding.
  
• Do not crush or open the capsule: The medication has a very bitter taste and is designed to be absorbed in the form of a soft microemulsion capsule. Do not puncture, crush, or mix it with food under any circumstances.
  
• Initial side effects: Some dogs may experience vomiting or diarrhea during the first 1–2 weeks after starting the medication. These symptoms are usually temporary and resolve on their own once the dog adjusts to the medication.
  
• Must be prescribed by a veterinarian only: Do not purchase and administer this medication to pets on your own. It is a controlled medication that requires accurate dose calculation and must not be used in dogs with a history of cancer or in dogs younger than 6 months of age.
