Virbac Cortavance is a topical corticosteroid spray containing hydrocortisone aceponate, developed by Virbac for use in dogs. It is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and pruritic skin conditions, including atopic dermatitis. The active ingredient acts locally on the skin with minimal systemic absorption.

Features and Directions for Use

• Active ingredient: Hydrocortisone aceponate 0.584 mg/mL.
  
• Directions: Hold the spray nozzle approximately 10 cm from the affected skin and apply 2 sprays to an area of about 10 × 10 cm, once daily for 7 days, or as directed by a veterinarian.
  
• Benefits: Fast-acting, easy to apply, requires no rubbing or massaging, and has fewer systemic side effects than oral corticosteroids.
